I'm going to have to disagree about clawed frogs being boring, they actually have a very interesting personality if you get them and have them from the time they are dime sized, mine used to chirp at night, it was awesome to have that, it was like camping sounds all the time, it sounded like a hundred crickets. They are eating machines however, and will destroy a well decorated tank. They get fairly large, and can be trained to a target for feeding and cleaning, it is kinda cool.

Oh yeah, they're cool and all. I've had one for several years and I'm rather fond of her I think compared to some other frogs they don't do much though. Comparable to fish in that they swim around and can't do much else. I guess it just depends on what you're looking to get out of having one. I like them, but not a lot of other people find them very fascinating.

As for setups, Cody's a whiz when it comes to such things if you ask me. I could probably help too, but my tanks are rather, how would I put this...crappy looking, lol. His actually look nice Plus I've got to go...

The next time I go I will try to get a pics. They are slimy about 3-4 inches and they are all about a sandy orange color. SHe has about 3 or 4 of them together at a time. I've never see them before, so I don't know. And i'm not that good with amphibians. So sorry but I will try to find out a scientific name or something for you from the lady!! Thanks!

I posted an inquiry on Herp Habitats -- hoping Cody or others see it there...

Cool, that's what it's there for I'm sure the conglomeration of talent on those forums will be able to provide you with some awesome inspiration. I personally just use rocks and a piece of plastic to separate land from water. It's functional, but that's where the appeal ends

That doesn't sound like red efts at all, so now I'm really curious I'll see if I can narrow it down based on that description, but any more info or photos you can provide later would be awesome.

Amphibians generaly do not handle verry well. But I think the best beginner amphibian would be the green tree-frog. If cared for properly they can live up to ten years. Post some pics on the forum on what you decide on.
Admittinly I have exsperience with only two types of amphibians.
