History & Question
Well, I think one of the eggs is history. It has the appearance of a collapsed ping pong ball. Day before yesterday I discussed it with Rich who said to add a little water to the vermiculite around the egg. I did so, and repeated it about 24 hrs later when there was no improvement, but it hasn't 'reinflated' at all. I'll do the so-called 'candle test' this Saturday. i.e., one week after the eggs were laid.
I'll have the digital camera tomorrow, and will post the pics. Even if the one is dead, I'm not devastated. One question: the ambient temperature here in Indiana is fluctuating up to 20 30 degrees on a regular basis (that is day & night temps). This seems to change the incubator temp by a degree or two. I suspect that this is not a big deal, but just checking... Thanks for your help, Jennifer

Re: History & Question
I wouldn't worry about a degree or two fluctuation. There are species that the eggs are more delicate but Fat-tails aren't one of them. Sometimes though it can take a week for an egg to recover from not enough humidity. Give it a little more time.
