When I can see that they are getting ready to shed, I soak them in warm water for an hour or two. They seem to enjoy it. I'm wondering if this causes them to absorb water through the skin and, if so, would there any benefit to putting a little calcium powder or leo dust in to the water? Mocha is gravid, and I'm trying to do everything possible to help meet her increased nutritional requirements.

No the skin is impenetrable to water. Otherwise the gecko would dry up!
Neither would the vitamins do any good that way unless they were drinking the water.

Yeah, moisture softens up the skin that's about to be shed and makes it easier for them to shed it, but they can't directly take in water through the skin. That's one of the things that separates them from amphibians, which do take water in through their skin.
