jengal, you shouldn't blame yourself. the people at the store were idiots. I work at a pet store, and I've decided to go to the first make a list of all the reptiles we have. I will then go to the library and print out a caresheet for each and every one of them. I will make several copies, and keep them in a special folder behind the counter. Anytime someone has a question about one of our reptiles, I will inform them all about it, and then give them a caresheet to take home so that they can realize the responsibility they are about to take on, and think about it. The one good thing I have to say about the Petco near me, is that they have care sheets on every animal they carry. I think this is at least responsible.

Thanks for the consolation, jbwise. Petco does always hand out caresheets, although they are minimalistic.
