want to adopt a fat-tailed gecko

If anyone has an AFT that needs a home, or hears of someone trying to place one, please let me know. I would rather welcome one that needs a home than go buy one from the pet store. I just feel better about being 'charitable', if that makes sense. I know it's a long shot, but thought I'd mention it anyway.

I'm in Indianapolis, Indiana. Willing to drive a reasonable distance to pick up the gecko.

p.s. I also posted this in the fat-tail forum. Sorry for redundancy, just seeking broader range.

I deleted the duplicate post, but I thought I would throw this out there....

Check out Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. for reptiles.

Jengal seems to have meant to post this:

Thanks, Lacey. I checked petfinder.com and found 2 fat-tails in my general area that are listed as available for adoption. I've written to them to find out if they're still available. I would be thrilled to get one! Thanks for your help.

p.s. glad I'm not the only fool awake & reptiling at 4:00 in the morning.

Somehow it was emailed to me though.

Huh weird....you're welcome Jen! I love petfinder and I love the idea of helping a 'slighty used' pet rather than supporting the trade.

If petfinder falls through sometimes craigslist comes through, but usually they just have the common herps.
